Concept
"It's all fun and games & Looks can be deceiving"
For this project based on the above prompt, I decided to make a card game that touched on both topics. The card game is called Alibi; it is a profiling card game that looks just like a regular game but it forces the players to profile their friends to win, thus showing them how dangerous profiling is especially in the real world with real consequences. On the packaging, there is a barcode that sends whoever scans to my project on racial profiling in America with includes videos from real people about their experiences. It's all fun and games until you realize how important profiling is and how that has changed people's lives for the worse especially in America now and showing how looks can be very deceiving.
DESIGN PROCESS

LOGO - The logo replaces the "A' in Alibi with a question mark flipped to represent the question of the game of who committed the crime thru the clues for each round. I chose a rounded font as the logo because humans find round fonts more appealing and friendlier to go well with the brand color in attracting people to buy the game.
Alibi is a term used in the court of law or the and it fits perfectly as a name for the game on profiling. I wanted to make the game fun and exciting and opted for bright colors. Yellow is synonymous with happiness and fun which is what a game should provide but also contrasts well with the truth of profiling and its harmful nature. Also yellow is a very bright and eye-catching color that makes people attracted to it when seen on the store shelves. (85% of consumers buy products based on color). Also to make it a bit more fun I used icons synonymous with the justice system and used that as a pattern for the game to add texture to the branding & packaging.
