Liberty University Studio and Digital Art; Studio Promo shoot.
After i was given the information on what they were looking for i decided to go scout the location a week before the shoot. Just looking at potential spots in the room, looking at the light already present, and taking in the environment for what it is so as to plan my lighting accordingly.
The Drawing studio on Liberty University Campus.
The lighting diagram features a two-light setup. I scrapped the Einstein 640 as the rim light because I wanted it high and mobile, so I chose a Profoto B1 and a reflector with a CTO gel. And Profoto B2 as the main, but it died towards the end of the shoot, so I swapped it out for another B1. (Always bring a backup lol) . I shot tethered to Capture One to check for sharpness and see the image bigger since this is for print & web purposes; Digi-teching for me was my co-worker (Kevin Manguiob- Talented photographer and great guy).
One of the precursors i was given for the shoot was for it to have a warm feeling hence the CTO Rim light and not shoot too dark but not bright either. Bright enough to know that it is a classroom.
